eyckA re -working of a  portrait of the artist dating from 1433. In this piece, I allowed the grain of the underpainting to be exposed on the final layer. the result, at least to me, is one that alludes to the grain /pixel breakdown of digitized print. This alteration of the image was intentional on part, since that is really the core idea to this body of work -translating how history is re -imaged through technological processes.
